Unwelcome predators
In my years as a club member, I have seen an otter once (at Goff’s) and several cormorants. I’ve also caught a few pike on an annual pike day, but fortunately only rarely caught fish with bite marks like the ones above. I’ve always assumed this to be the work of an otter, but is anyone able to identify the culprit for sure?
Personally I’ve always assumed that otters would be too slow to catch a trout, but perhaps I’m wrong?
Caught at the bottom end of the Bintry beat, by the way, on a GRHE gold head.
