Chaps

I will arrange with Trevor =
Rollins for us to meet his mate and view the truck. It is a Mitsubishi =
Animal, same as ours, but a few years younger, much better nick, =
MoT=E2=80=99d and road legal. Could be ours for around =C2=A33k. =
That is all I know.
I think Stephen is =
our expert in all things automobile =
related?

Hi chaps
I=E2=80=99m fine with the =

We=E2=80=99re financially comfortable and have also secured =

Let me know how you want to =

PS=
@Richard – expenses all sorted.

Hi All,

I agree. Yesterday’s job would have =
been impossible without the
truck and if we intend to carry on doing heavy duty maintenance
work we need to be able to get equipment and materials across the
meadows.

To put this into context, the flow deflectors we =
installed
yesterday, while not perfect, are quite similar to the ones our
predecessors had installed at Yarrow by outside contractors, at an
initial cost of about =C2=A37,000!!!, although this was later =
reduced
by about =C2=A32,000.

I think we just have to make sure we =
don’t buy a dud this time.

Bill

BTW. I fished Goff’s =
yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours
and caught 3 fish, two of which were very silvery wild fish with a
distinct blue sheen on their flanks, almost sea trout-like. I also
caught a similar wildie on County School.

Truck problems again. I could not get it started yesterday. It had been =
run out of diesel last time out and apparently, although I put a big =
can-full back in, the pump/filter will get an air lock if the fuel has =
been run too low. You could hear the pump clicking, but that=E2=80=99s =
all. I will try and get the guy from County School who serviced it =
earlier in the year to see if he can re-prime it. According to Paul who =
was enjoying the show, it is a simple process. Paul was a star and saved =
the day by lending us his truck to transport our stuff to Deep Chub =
Bend.

The work installing two flow deflectors was accomplished with a good =
turn out of strong men. I did not even need to put my waders on!

I have attached the receipt for the diesel.

We need to think about a replacement vehicle. Trevor Rollins=E2=80=99 =
mate has a much later Mitsubishi L200 similar to ours, in good condition =
and MOT=E2=80=99d. He wants =C2=A33k for it. We will be able to sell =
ours to C T Barnes for a few hundred. We would be able to swap our =
splendid tyres to the new truck. We have the oxygenating equipment to =
sell and we would have a redundant Truckman hard top to sell (we got =
=C2=A380 for the last one).=20

What I am saying is that if by selling the old truck and the other gear =
we can get to a figure of =C2=A32k I think we should think about it?
