A beautiful, plump wild trout measuring around 43cm, caught on a dry olive during a brief hatch.

It has to be said that due to the appalling weather we experienced in early spring this year, the river has been challenging to unfishable much of the time. Nevertheless, some good fish have been caught, like this fish taken on a dry fly during a hatch of large dark olives. Although fly hatches have been few and far between this season, the warmer weather is beginning to bring them out.
