Chaps

A couple of trawls of the membership have not raised any more helpers. There will be four of us, but sliding the logs into the river should see them supported by the water to some extent. We will have a cordless drill with a long bit to drill the poles and fix them with metal rebar stakes through the logs and into the river bed. A few of our split chestnut stakes will complete the job. They will need to be set into the bank, so I can bring a pick axe. We have a couple of sledge hammers, plenty of rope to lash them together and some staples and nails.

Andrew, the Club has a pair of work waders I can bring. Meet at 9am in Pauls barn yard and we will load up the truck with the gear.

Many thanks

Richard Nelson
